**Alanna Panday on making her Bollywood debut with ‘The Battle of Bhima Koregaon,’ working with Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, and wanting to carve her own path in the industry.**
**Mumbai:** Alanna Panday, daughter of actor Chunky Panday and fitness enthusiast Bhavana Pandey, is all set to make her Bollywood debut with ‘The Battle of Bhima Koregaon’. She will be seen sharing screen space with Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in the film. In an exclusive conversation with TimesofIndia.com, Alanna opened up about her debut film, working with Arjun and Sanjay, and her aspirations in the industry.
Talking about how she bagged the film, Alanna said that she had given a couple of auditions and was called for a look test. “I think I gave a good audition and the look test went well, and I got selected. I am very excited to be a part of this film,” she said.
When asked about her role in the film, Alanna revealed that she will be playing the role of Mastani, a warrior queen. “My character is very strong and fierce. She is a warrior queen who fights for her people. I am really looking forward to playing this role,” she said.
Alanna also spoke about working with Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in the film. “It was an amazing experience working with Arjun and Sanjay. They are both such talented actors and I learnt a lot from them. They were very supportive and helpful, and I am really grateful for that,” she said.
Alanna also talked about her aspirations in the industry. “I want to carve my own path in the industry and not live in my father’s shadow. I want to be known for my own work and not just as Chunky Panday’s daughter,” she said.
‘The Battle of Bhima Koregaon’ is a historical drama film directed by Ramesh Thete and produced by Ajay Devgn. The film is set against the backdrop of the Battle of Bhima Koregaon, which took place in 1818 between the British East India Company and the Peshwa army. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on April 9, 2023.
