BBC – UK economy grows 0.5% in three months to September, but slows

The UK economy grew by 0.5% in the three months to September, boosted by the services sector, but it was a slowdown from the previous quarter.

Growth in the three months to June was revised up to 0.8%, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

The ONS also said it was too early to say what impact the new Omicron variant would have on the economy.
