It’s so special to see your baby discover the magic of the season and to make new traditions or carry on your favorites as a family of your own. However, traveling does get a little harder. It can be tempting to pack up the whole house, even if you are only headed to grandma’s for the weekend! I’m here to tell you that it isn’t necessary, but I understand how scary it can be to pack up with a baby not knowing what to expect. Lucky for you, you aren’t alone. First of all, you are going to want a super functional diaper bag! I always loved having plenty of pockets and zippered spaces so that I could be organized. If you aren’t bringing your stroller along, I would highly recommend checking out a backpack diaper bag as it will give you two hands for everything else you need to do. This Hello Bello from Walmart comes with a changing pad, 9 pockets, and 2 insulated pockets for bottles. I love that the shoulders are padded enough that you can wear this backpack all day comfortably.
Bananafish Tote Diaper Bag
This three-piece set has 6 pockets (some of them zippered), a changing pad, and insulated pockets for bottles. It is the perfect bag to organize everything you need for a long day.

Obviously, you are going to need some diapers in the diaper bag! My motto is honestly that you can never have too many when traveling or out for a long day. We have always loved Pampers Swaddlers because they are super soft and have a breathable liner that pulls wetness away from the baby’s skin.

It is also a good idea to have diaper rash cream in your diaper bag at all times, just in case your baby’s skin gets irritated. I choose Hello Bello because it is made from a mineral and plant-based formula.

All Things Snuggly
Winter, especially if you’re headed somewhere cold, requires having a couple of extra things packed to ensure your little one stays warm. For traveling, I highly recommend having lots of layers!
JJ Cole Bundle Bag
It took us until our third baby to invest in a bundle bag, and we definitely wish we had tried one out sooner! It slides right over your stroller or car seat and keeps your baby plenty warm. Plus, you won’t have to worry about blankets falling off.
Gerber Long Sleeve Onesies
You can never have too many onesies, which you probably already know! I would recommend packing 2-3 extras to avoid blowout disaster. They are so small anyway, so they aren’t taking up valuable space.
Food & Snack Necessities
Traveling is hard enough as it is, so you don’t want to add hunger into the equation. You will want to make sure you have plenty of snacks if your baby is eating solids. If not, just make sure to grab everything you need to make a bottle or breastfeed.
Munchkin Love Bowl Set
This little bowl set is one of my favorite travel essentials. It comes with the 4 bowls and lids as well as spoons. It is the perfect way to pack snacks.
Nuk Learner Cup
If your little one is drinking out of a sippy cup, this is one of my very favorites. It was a 100% silicone tip that is actually leak-proof and easy to hold handles.
Comotomo Baby Bottles
Of course, if your baby is still drinking formula or breastmilk, you will need to pack some bottles. Keep in mind, when taking off and landing it’s a great idea to give your baby a bottle. The sucking will help to relieve ear pressure!
Gerber Wagon Wheels
Snacks for baby (and mom) are a must! These Apple Harvest Wagon Wheels are delicious, I know because desperate times call for desperate measures and I’ve definitely grabbed a few when hunger got the best of me. Plus, the flavor fits the holiday spirit!
‘Tis the Season for Sniffles
I love the holidays, but I don’t love that you are more likely to catch a bug this time of year. Fingers crossed you won’t have to use any of this, but it’s better to be prepared.

It is a good idea to travel with Infant Motrin, especially during the cold and flu season. Make sure to talk to your pediatrician about dosing.
